Nestled within the mountains, with one of Hong Kong’s most breathtaking views in the backdrop sits City Kids Pre School and Little Stars Playgroup. Situated within a beautiful architecturally, grade 2 listed building that was previously The British Military Hospital, City Kids is a small, not-for-profit, English speaking Early Years Centre with a strong focus on creating a nurturing and welcoming environment for their students, parents and staff.
With a rich history that dates back to 1984, City Kids operates a Preschool for children aged between 2.8 and 5 years and a Little Stars accompanied program for children aged between 10 months and 3 years. The operation of these programs is guided by their vision, that play is fundamental to the safe, happy and healthy development of young children as they begin their early years education.
A pivotal, leadership role has arisen for a Head of Little Stars to embrace the strong values and the unique culture of our City Kids community whilst overseeing the programs at Little Stars and managing the daily sessions. In this role you will take pride in creating and managing a fun, stimulating and safe learning environment for the children and your team.
As The Head of Little Stars, you will form part for the Senior Management Team (SMT), working closely with the Principal of the Pre School and reporting to the City Kids board. You will lead a team of supervisors and helpers, creating a collegial and supportive environment.
Success will be achieved through your ability to effectively manage all facets of Little Stars from planning the daily sessions through to overseeing all maintenance projects that arise through to managing financial budgets and training and development for your team.
The ideal applicant will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and will be degree qualified in Early Years Learning. Applicants who possess experience with the EYFS curriculum, CCC registration and Principal’s registration are highly desired. The position requires an enthusiastic, committed person who is passionate about enabling children to become happy and confident learners who can reach their full potential.
